Apurva Schwartz, Managing Director, Equity Research, joined Rocaton in 2015. She focuses on investment manager research and due diligence on equity-related strategies. Before joining Rocaton, Apurva spent eight years in various direct investment management roles. From 2012 to 2014, Apurva served as a partner and senior equity analyst for NGM Asset Management, where she focused on security analysis, portfolio management, and firm operations. Prior to joining NGM Asset Management, Apurva served as a senior equity analyst at Citadel Investment Group. From 2007 to 2010, she served as a Vice President at Institutional Capital, and was responsible for the analysis and portfolio management of $1 billion of owned securities. Apurva holds a B.A in Political Science with the highest distinction from the University of Michigan.
Jeri Savage, Defined Contribution Research, is a Partner of Rocaton and leads the firm’s DC-related research coverage, with responsibility for target date fund, retirement income, and other DC-specific strategy research coverage. She also researches DC trends, recordkeepers, managed account providers and contributes to DC clients’ investment structure discussions. Jeri has nearly 15 years of experience in research and analytical roles with investment and consulting firms. Jeri joined Rocaton from Evaluation Associates, where she spent several years as an Equity Research Associate and member of the firm’s Defined Contribution Task Force. Jeri earned an M.B.A. with distinction in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University.
Thomas Dolan, Equity Research Specialist, focuses on investment manager research and due diligence on equity related strategies. As a member of the equity research team, Thomas contributes to on-going manager monitoring, and analytical support. He also supports various research initiatives, including the development of Rocaton’s active management assumptions. Prior to joining Rocaton in 2013, Thomas held roles with KPMG and most recently with Pitney Bowes where he worked as an Analytics Manager. Thomas graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting and has earned an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
Kelley McWilliams, Director, focuses on investment manager research and due diligence on fixed income related strategies. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Kelley was a Vice President in the Municipal Bond Department at Barclays Capital. She is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA institute. Kelley graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Duke University.
Michael McGowan, Managing Director, focuses on investment manager research and due diligence on fixed income related strategies. As a member of the fixed income team, Michael contributes to on-going manager monitoring and analytical support. He also supports various research initiatives, including the development of Rocaton’s active management assumptions. Michael graduated from Marist College with a B.S. in Finance and is a CFA Charterholder.
Todd Lusk, Managing Director, joined Rocaton in 2013. Todd leads Rocaton’s Operational Due Diligence efforts for hedge funds, fund of funds, real estate and all private capital investment vehicles, and traditional investments as part of the Research Team. Todd joined Rocaton after 5+ years at J.P. Morgan where he served as Vice President and Team Leader in Prime Brokerage Client Services. Prior to earning his M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, Todd worked at Goldman Sachs as an Operations Analyst in Private Wealth Management Operations. Todd earned a B.A. in Economics from Boston College. He is a holder of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. Todd also recently successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Robert Kennelley, Managing Director, Alternative Investments Research, joined Rocaton in 2012. Robert assists with the sourcing, evaluation and due diligence of alternative investments including equity and credit hedge fund strategies, fund of funds, and private credit investment vehicles, as well as long only emerging markets debt strategies. Previously, Robert worked in Emerging Markets Fixed Income Sales at HSBC Securities, at Rogge Global Partners as a High Yield and Emerging Markets Corporate Credit Analyst and at Deutsche Bank Securities performing M&A advisory and debt & equity underwriting for corporate and private equity clients. Robert is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin and received a B.A. in East Asian Studies with a Concentration in Finance from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Andrea McGee, Managing Director, Alternative Investments Research, joined Rocaton in 2014. Andrea is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and completing due diligence on alternative investments. Prior to joining Rocaton, Andrea worked as an Investment Officer at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. Prior to that, she spent over seven years in hedge fund and private equity manager research roles for fund-of-funds. She began her career at TIAA-CREF as an associate in Private Finance. Andrea received a B.S. with distinction in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University and is a CFA charterholder.
Erica Wolf, Managing Director, focuses on investment manager research and due diligence on equity-related strategies. Erica has over 13 years of experience in research and analytical roles with investment and consulting firms. Prior to joining the firm in October 2011, Erica worked as a Senior Manager Research consultant for Towers Watson Investment Services, Inc., where she primarily focused on U.S. equities and target date offerings. Prior to Towers Watson, Erica was an Assistant Vice President and Research Analyst for U.S. equities at Northern Trust (formerly RCB International), a manager of managers with specialization in emerging/undiscovered managers. Erica earned an M.B.A. in Investment Management a B.S. in Finance from Pace University.
Patrick Chrysler, Managing Director, Fixed Income Research, focuses on investment manager research and due diligence of fixed income strategies. Patrick joined Rocaton in 2013 after serving in manager research roles at both ING Investment Management and Rogerscasey. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and Stamford CFA Society. Patrick earned a BSBA in Finance from Georgetown University and an MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
