Research Analyst

Rocaton is looking for Research Analysts to join its growing team. These Research Analysts will work with other consulting and research professionals within Rocaton to advise clients on investment manager selection and strategies. Research Analysts will have focus in one of the following areas depending on prior experience including:

• Equity investment manager research, covering strategies such as U.S. equity, international equity and emerging markets equity
• Alternative investments investment manager research, covering strategies such as private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds

Responsibilities include generating and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data in support of the investment manager and investment strategy evaluation process. In addition, Research Analysts will also participate in the process of interviewing investment managers and will create written deliverables outlining Rocaton’s observations and opinions of these managers.

These positions require individuals with quantitative aptitude, detail orientation, strong excel skills, and a genuine interest in investments. Strong written skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and the desire to interact with clients and other investment professionals is also required. Three to six years of experience preferred.
